aFuel Expands to Paris and Basel: Charles de Gaulle, Orly and Basel Mulhouse Freiburg Now Live on the World’s Leading Digital Fueling Network

Information Design connects Aircharge by Synaxe as its 13th into-plane IT dispatch system, bringing fully digital fueling operations to two of Europe’s busiest airports and opening the door for airlines across France and Switzerland.

Frankfurt, Germany – June 2, 2026

Information Design, operator of aFuel – the world’s leading digital aircraft fueling network – today announced the successful connection of Aircharge by Synaxe to the aFuel platform, marking a significant expansion of the network’s reach across France. With this integration, Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Paris Orly (ORY) and EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg (BSL) are now fully live on aFuel, giving airline customers immediate access to end-to-end digital fueling operations at two of Europe’s most critical aviation hubs as well as the tri-national EuroAirport.

Aircharge, a Synaxe product, becomes the 13th into-plane IT provider connected to aFuel, further strengthening the aFuel network that already spans more than 300 airports worldwide and has integrated over 40 into-plane agents alongside 12 previously connected fuel dispatch systems. The addition of Aircharge reinforces aFuel’s position as the most comprehensive and open digital fueling ecosystem in commercial aviation.

A Modern, Real-Time Integration Built for the Future

Aircharge is built on a modern technology stack with native AI at its core, combining a best-in-class user experience with robust real-time connectivity. The solution delivers the full suite of digital fueling capabilities that aFuel airline customers depend on: AI-powered dispatch optimization, real-time fuel ordering, real-time ticketing, milestone tracking and electronic signature. Every step of the fueling process – from initial fuel request to final delivery confirmation – is handled digitally and transparently, eliminating paper, reducing errors and accelerating turnaround times.

For airlines already connected to aFuel, this expansion means that digital fueling operations at CDG, Orly and Basel Mulhouse Freiburg are now available immediately – with no additional paperwork, no separate integrations and full visibility into fueling milestones in real time. For airlines not yet on the network, Paris and Basel join a growing list of airports that make the case for joining aFuel ever more compelling.

A Strategic Gateway: Paris and Basel Join the aFuel Network

Paris Charles de Gaulle is one of the world’s top international gateway airports and the third busiest in Europe. Together with Orly, it handles over 100 million passengers and 2 million tonnes of cargo annually. Adding Basel Mulhouse Freiburg to the aFuel network not only closes a gap in a dense part of the European map, but it also significantly helps reduce administrative friction at the trinational airport. Connecting these airports to aFuel represents a major milestone for the network and creates significant new digital opportunities for aFuel’s airline customers operating routes through France.

“Every new connection to aFuel makes the entire network more valuable for every airline already connected to it. Welcoming Aircharge as our 13th into-plane IT provider – and bringing Paris CDG, Orly and Basel Mulhouse Freiburg live – is a landmark moment. Paris is a critical hub for global aviation, and this expansion reflects our continued commitment to building the most comprehensive and the only truly global digital fueling network. Airlines operating through France can now benefit from the same seamless, paperless, real-time fueling experience they rely on across the rest of the aFuel network.”

— Julia Büchner, CEO, Information Design

“We are proud to be joining the aFuel network. Aircharge was built from the ground up to deliver a fully digital, real-time fueling experience – and connecting to aFuel allows us to extend that vision to airlines worldwide. With CDG, Orly and Basel already live, we look forward to supporting airlines and operators across France, Switzerland and beyond as we continue to expand.”

— Richad Mitha, CEO, Synaxe
